A Pawling resident who has lived all over the world, Steve now proudly calls the Village home with his wife Cayman, rescue-dog Bo and senior-cat Bama. Before he came to Pawling, Steve was a tech executive and a teacher.
Currently Chairman of the Village Planning Board, Steve has worked tirelessly and successfully to keep our Village from being over-developed. As one Planning Board member said, "Steve’s hard work, his in depth knowledge of our codes and comp plan, his ability to take command of a meeting, his leadership and his support of his fellow board members make him a perfect person to chair this board. We are on the right track and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead."
During a successful career in technology, Steve learned to manage budgets, hire great teams and get things done. And, he learned to solve hard problems by asking tough questions, getting great advice and, building a consensus.
Steve has been involved in local governments in Seattle, WA and Manhattan Beach, CA holding a variety of committee and board positions in planning, beautification and tourism. He is also currently Treasurer of the Pawling Historical Society
Steve is an educator who taught in the Finance & Economics department of the University of Southern California and then again at Northwestern University.
Steve and Cayman love a night out at McKinney & Doyle or O'Connors (equally!) They also like grabbing supplies for lunch at the Farmer’s Market and then hiking around trails at the Pawling Nature Reserve (The Red trail is a favorite.)
Steve will work as hard as he can to make Pawling an even better Village for everyone.
